SUMMER FOOD EVENTS

Unfortunately there will be no POP UP FARM workshops in August, but luckily we’ve got plenty of other events that we would like you to join!

This Saturday, the 11th of August, we will be at the Kimchi Outdoor Farm Festival, giving a Basil & Pesto workshop. Here we will teach you how to make the homemade pesto of your dreams. The Festival will be held at the Buurtboerderij, Spaarndammerdijk 319, from 2 – 11 pm. Remember that Kimchi Farm Festival is a non-profit party, which means that there will be free entrance! Check out more information about the festival here.

Also we want you to take a step back, relax, and invite you to enjoy our CITOPIA FOOD MOVIES  which will be shown on the following dates:

18/8: King Corn at the Brede Moestuin, Zuidas, Amsterdam.

26/8: Waste Land  at  the Food Center Amsterdam

9/9: The Lunchbox Miracle at Tolhuistuin, Amsterdam-Noord.

On Sunday the 9th of september from 11:00-16:00 CITIES organizes, in cooperation with the Tolhuistuin and ZTRDG, a harvest festival called “AMSTERDAM OOGST”. At the Tolhuistuin we will celebrate a rich harvest of local food with a wide range of local food producers. Here you will be able to present your own harvest or project, buy, sell or trade products, participate in workshops, meet others and exchange knowledge etc. Above all, ‘Amsterdam Oogst!’ is about enjoying all the delicious, fresh and special products that are being made in Amsterdam. More info can soon be found online. Interested in being part of the market? Please send a mail to anke@farmingthecity.net
