FOODLOGICA OFFICIAL LAUNCH AT SOLAR BOAT PARADE AND WEEK OF ENERGY EVENTS!
Sustainable energy. Local food. Solar power. Electric trikes. And more! Don’t miss FOODLOGICA’s official kick off – September 14th at the Solar Boat Parade’s Square of the Future at Westergasfabriek, and on-scene involvement in Pakhuis de Zwijger’s program-packed Week of Energy! More here.
This month is BIG. If you haven’t heard, this past June we kick started our first commercial business, in response to an urban food paradox: quality local food is produced in a sustainable fashion, yet transported by gas-guzzling, polluting vehicles contributing to congested streets. On that account, FOODLOGICA lives to elevate the virtuous cycle of food in the urban ecosystem by integrating convenient, zero-emission transport to local businesses using electric ‘e-trikes.
No emission. No congestion. No pollution. FOODLOGICA is an off the grid, solar powered, cargo e-trike logistical delivery service that links local food producers, businesses and consumers. Delivering fresh food fast and clean, FOODLOGICA maintains a commitment to both sustainable growing and working practices, seeking out high quality local food partners and developing working relationships for the long term.
FOODLOGICA LAUNCH EVENTS
At 16:00, we are honored to have Maurits Groen, founder of Waka Waka, kick off the official FOODLOGICA launch during the Solar Boat Parade at the Square of the Future (Plein van de Toekomst) at Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam. We will be at our specially designed shipping container, retrofitted with solar panels to house and charge FOODLOGICA’s electric trikes! (See the container’s transformation in photos here). Alongside FOODLOGICA at the Square of the Future, you will also get acquainted with other innovations in the field of sustainability, ranging from mobility and food and drink to lifestyle and energy. Check out more on the Square of the Future here (try translating page if you don’t speak Dutch). We hope to see you there!
The following week, of September 15th, the FOODLOGICA system complete with container, e-trikes and food in transit will be set up and operating in front of the Pakhuis de Zwijger, in association with their Week of Energy. Check out the program and give us a visit – we are working on a special addition to the program!
Come celebrate with us! This is a first, necessary step to help local food become smarter, more connected and better organized… With FOODLOGICA, we can.
